Who's behind InferHaven
InferHaven is built and maintained by one person, me, Ethan Ludwig. Not a faceless org, not a "team" of stock photos. Solo, in the open, and that's on purpose.
I started InferHaven from a simple conviction: private AI coding should be a right, not a feature gate. Using a cloud assistant means shipping your code and prompts to someone else's servers. InferHaven flips that default — your models, your hardware, your code stays on your network. The network is opt-in by default, not opt-out.
InferHaven Core, the self-hostable stack, is the foundation — the full source is public under a fair-source license. InferHaven Cloud, the managed version, is what funds the work. That means keeping Core healthy isn't a side project; it's the whole strategy. I'm not going anywhere, and will be tending the lighthouse.
You don't have to take my word for it — verify it:
- Read, run, and fork the source on GitHub.
- Why it's fair source (FSL-1.1 → Apache-2.0 after two years), spelled out in full.
- Security policy + PGP key — coordinated disclosure, taken seriously.
- Ask me anything in the Discord, or email lighthouse@inferhaven.com.
